About the Program
Glittering Lights is a drive-through holiday light show at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, about 10 miles north of the Strip. Each holiday season it runs nightly from early November into early January, opening at 5 PM, rain or shine and on holidays. The 3-mile route has more than 600 displays and about 6 million lights, and most cars take 30 to 45 minutes.
Tickets are per vehicle, not per person, so load up the car: $39 cash at the gate or $44 by card online. Fast Pass, which uses a separate entry lane, is $64 online or $25 more at the gate, and a $149 Season Pass covers two vehicles for unlimited visits. The Santa Tram is sold per person at $25, with free photos with Santa, and a VIP tram for a family of 4 is $119. Drive-through entry never sells out, but tram times can, so book those early.
With little kids, two tips matter. There are no restrooms along the route, only a few speedway restrooms near the entry, and traffic is lightest before 6 PM Sunday through Thursday. Use Exit 54 off I-15 instead of GPS, which can send you to a closed gate.
