About the Program
Dance Etc Inc is Boulder City's longtime dance studio at 525 Hotel Plaza, teaching kids and adults since 1979. Locals know it as the little pink studio, and Miss Anna has owned it since Miss Amy retired in 2006. Recitals are themed shows at the Historic Boulder Theatre downtown.
Classes are set by age and grade. The youngest start in Baby Ballet, a 45 minute class for 3 year olds with songs, tutus and wands. Next is the Ballet / Tap / Jazz Combo, a 60 minute class for 4 year olds to Kindergarten. From 1st grade & up, kids can take Ballet, Jazz and Acro, which runs from cartwheels and handstands up to back handsprings. Hip Hop is for 4th grade and up, while younger kids get it through the Combo or Jazz class. Musical Theater starts with Broadway Babies for 4 year olds to 1st grade, and kids need Jazz and Tap to enroll.
Some classes need experience first: Irish takes 3rd grade & up with 2 years of Tap, and Contemporary takes 5th grade & up. Pointe is by instructor invitation only.
The dress code is strict, especially buns for Ballet, so check it before the first class. The studio site has a separate Fees and Policies page, and for class times you can call (702) 293-5001 or request a schedule online.

First Visit Guide
What most dance studios expect. Confirm the details with Dance Etc Inc before you go.
What to bring
- Leggings or shorts with a fitted top, nothing your child can trip on
- Bare feet or socks are fine for a trial. Don't buy ballet, tap, or jazz shoes until the studio tells you the exact style and color they want.
- Hair pulled back, water bottle
Before you go
- Ask about the dress code before you buy anything.
- Come early for the waiver and to find the right studio room.
- Ask how parents watch. Some studios have windows, some have lobby monitors, some are drop-off only.
The first visit
A trial class is normal: warm-up, moving across the floor, and a short routine. The recital and costume fees come months later. Ask when those decisions are due so nothing surprises you.
For sensory-sensitive kids
Mirrors, music, and a room full of kids is a lot at once. Ask if your child can watch a class first, and whether the studio runs smaller classes.
