Nevada School of the Arts

Nevada School of the Arts is a nonprofit community arts school chartered in 1977 that grew out of UNLV's Saturday Conservatory and now lives at the Historic Fifth Street School, 401 South Fourth Street, Suite 125 (89101), downtown. Private lessons cover piano, guitar, voice, violin, viola, cello, woodwinds and brass, taught by a faculty that includes Juilliard, Manhattan School of Music, Indiana and Peabody graduates, and lessons are sold in 16 lesson packages. Beyond private study there is a Suzuki group program, a cello choir, music theory, the NSA Chamber Orchestra, a Gifted Young Artist Program that auditions in August, a musical theatre conservatory, theatre workshops and summer intensives, and visual arts classes in collage, bookmaking and 2D design. Students also get masterclasses with visiting artists and pre concert showcases with the Las Vegas Philharmonic. Scholarships are a real part of the model: 43 percent of students got full or partial aid in 2025 to 2026. Call (702) 384-2787.
