Christmas Bird Count

Registration: 8:30 am to 9:00 am, Event: 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. The Christmas Bird Count is the nation’s longest-running community science bird project. While birding experience is a plus, beginners are welcome to join NPS biologists to learn more about the birds of Lake Mead and Lake Mohave. Volunteers will be able to choose between a hike or boat survey route. Please note that the boat survey will take longer. Registration is required. Space is limited. To register, please email LAKE_volunteer_coordinator@nps.gov.
