Accelerated Learning Clinic & Academy

Accelerated Learning Academy at 5980 South Durango Drive (89113) is a small private school and homeschool alternative in the southwest that mixes neurotypical and neurodiverse learners on purpose. Classes are capped at 10 and every student has an individualized plan, and progress is measured by skills mastery rather than grades. Principal Dr. Gwen Johnson describes the academy as a bridge for kids who have had applied behavior analysis or early intervention and now need an inclusive classroom, while neurotypical students get a small, hands on program and learn alongside peers who learn differently. The curriculum is described as evidence based and rooted in learning science and behavioral principles, with communication and independence skills targeted directly. The sister Accelerated Learning Clinic provides clinic based services and parent and school training.
