The Pierce Autism Center at Touro

The Pierce Autism Center at Touro University Nevada, at 874 American Pacific Drive in Henderson (89014), provides Applied Behavior Analysis therapy for children ages 18 months to 18 years with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental disabilities. The stated goals are coping and adaptive skills, social, language, communication, self help and academic skills, and parent training so families can carry strategies home.

In December 2023 it became the only Healthcare Certified Autism Center in Nevada under the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards, which it describes as the top accreditation an autism center can hold. All staff are CPR trained and trained in the CPI model for safely managing disruptive behavior. The director is Lisa Kunz, and the center says it speaks Spanish.

The center started in 2007 as a Touro clinical program, was the first in Nevada to contract with Health Plan of Nevada to cover autism as a medical benefit in 2008, and grew into a multidisciplinary center; the current site centers on ABA. Start with the Request a Consultation form.
