Gilbert Parks and Recreation will begin offering a co-ed recreational beach volleyball league for ages 7-15, designed for beginner to intermediate-level players. Each team will be assigned a coach to help players learn the essential skills of the game, such as serving, setting, passing, and ball control. The program emphasizes skill development, teamwork, building strong relationships, and most importantly, having fun! 7-11 DIVISION LEAGUE INFORMATION: Season runs 6 weeks; 1 practice and 1 game day per week 5 weeks of regular games followed by 1 week of playoffs NO GAME October 24 due to park closure Team practices are held on Mondays at Gilbert Regional Park. Games played on Saturdays at Gilbert Regional Park Players will receive a team T-shirt Players are encouraged to bring their ball Players should register in the division based on their age at the start of the season to allow for a well-balanced team environment Our youth volleyball league emphasizes recreational play and ensures each participant plays for an equal amount of time. This league is about having fun and developing in the sport, so no tryouts are necessary. We don't track scores, team standings, or rankings during the season. We encourage players, coaches, and spectators to focus on sportsmanship and the love of the game rather than on wins and losses. No refunds, withdrawals, transfers, or credits are available after the registration deadline.
